The normal cliche at this moment would be “There are no words to describe…”   Well in this case, that’s BS.   Here we go: fantastic, chic, awesome, intimate, passionate, inspiring, glamorous, fun, personal, stylish, deep, beautiful, (I’ll continue to add more in the coming days as I think of others to use).  Lydia and Christian’s wedding day was blessing in disguise that you could see coming from a million miles away through a blizzard, and volcanic ash. I know, I know, a little dramatic of me, but appropriate.  That’s because this couple wears their love on their sleeves.   When you combine these two people, with their family, friends, the beautiful weather they were blessed with, the awesome venue ‘Locusts On Hudson“, and Mathew Robbins’ “Art Fool” you end up with a day to be described using all those words I have piling up in the beginning of this post.   I think Chelsea Clinton planned her nearby Rhinebeck wedding to occur a couple of weeks after theirs so she wouldn’t  be up staged by them.  Almost worked Chelsea, almost worked….

These three donkeys live on the grounds, the one you see way over to the right in the background is Steve.  He wasn’t very sociable, kind of stuck up.

He took a serious one after this shot, but I like this one better.

She seduced my camera!

If you know anything about the island of Aruba, you know how intense the sun is there.  That intensity best describes the passion that exist between Patrica and Johnnie.  Actually I have to extend that to their family and friends also.  This time I was bless with Simone joining me on the trip.  She’s by far the hottest assistant I’ve ever worked with.  They made us feel like family.  And just before leaving for home I found out that some of the guest actually thought Simone and I were family.  The night before the ceremony we met up with everyone at a spot called “Texas de Brazil”  Holy #%#$ I never seen so much food coming out of the woodwork.  It was my first time eating at a Brazilian style restaurant.  I prayed I could function the next day.

The Westin Aruba hosted their wedding day.   Really nice hotel, great staff, and endless places to shoot inside.  I had a blast and wish I could have explored the whole place with Johnnie and Patricia.

All in all I want to thank Patricia and Johnnie for giving me the honor of documenting their wedding day.  They were awesome, and I think we got some great images.

Below are a few. Enjoy
