DUMBO is definitely one of my favorite places to shoot, and hang out.  So it’s only natural that I chose it for Cheryl and Eric’s E Session.  Now Cheryl told me from the first day we spoke that she’s very laid back.  But what took me by surprise was that Eric was even more laid back than she is.  YEP!! These two were made for each other.  As we walked through DUMBO snapping away, for some reason I felt like I was seeing it for the first time.  I guess it had something to do with the Brooklyn Bridge Park, a serious work in progress that’s changing the face of the Brooklyn waterfront.  It has be biggest, greenest, hilliest (is that a word) lawn that I’ve ever seen in Brooklyn this side of Prospect Park

Eric and Cheryl’s wedding day will have an additional special twist for me.  The company she currently works at use to be my 9 to 5 for 18 years before my photography career.  So there’s going to be a number of familiar faces there.  It’s going to be a blast.

Yep! That’s a carousel in the background, Jane’s Carousel to be exact.

Cheryl insisted on a shot in front of the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory, too bad the line was mad long.

From the East Village, to Dumbo; Lydia and Christian kept the temperature up.  Well…. they did have a little help from Rosco in the beginning.  Hanging with Lydia and Christian was a blast, and so was walking the streets of our awesome city.  We kind of got thrown out of a neighborhood garden, totally Rosco’s fault.   Then Lydia and I were “treated” ( I mean that word in the most sarcastic way possible ) to the site of a very mature woman (trying not to say really old woman), who opened her summer dress type robe, to reveal her see through, damn near translucent, ankle length lingerie, and a thong.  Christian just happen to be looking the other way and was spared this…………….. vision.  And no I didn’t take a picture so don’t ask.

I know their Wedding Day will be just as beautiful and eventful,  minus the nearly naked mature thong lady.  I can’t wait….  for the Wedding Day, I’ll take a pass on the “let me show you something lady”

So this was my first visit to the Bronx Botanical Gardens, and I have to say….  I was very impressed.  Lisana, and Nathaniel (Nate) made a great choice, in choosing this location.  Watching the pollen drift from the trees in the wind freaked me out a little, but we still had a ball.  You may not be able to tell by looking at most of these images below, but Nate is a man with some serious issues.  He had me cracking up through the whole shoot,  and there must be some serious Love between him and Lisana, because he definitely keeps her happy and smiling.  Not to mention she’s going to marry him.  Wow.

Below are a few images, the last one with Nate showing his affection in only the way Nate can do it. LOL

Ask Nate for the name of that tree. LOL  I’m not posting that……

That’s Nate for you! LOL

Couldn’t really have asked for a better day, or a better couple.  I mean you could but why would you.   Joy was introduced to me by our mutual friend Myrdith Leon- McCormack, owner of World Bride Magazine, and a partner of the M2M Nail Polish line. While Joy and Frank (a rock drummer that found the fountain of youth but won’t tell anyone where it is) will be exchanging their vows on the island of Jamaica next year, the wanted to express their passion for each other here in New York.  We spent the day in Chelsea, “got to love it there, ” up on The High Line, and wrapped it up in the garden of their friend, and awesome fashion stylist Mia Morgan.   At Mia’s urging, Joy wore a dress she had on hand, and WOW is all I’ll say.

Here’s some of my favorite images.
